Specific Objectives:

  1. To develop new modules that incorporate traditional arts (weaving, embroidery, knitting) into fashion design curricula at participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Western Balkans.
  2. To provide theoretical and practical training on the application of traditional arts in fashion design to students in fashion design, thereby enhancing their employability and job prospects.
  3. To promote cross-border collaboration and knowledge-sharing among universities from four countries in the Balkans and EU partners to jointly implement innovative practices based on evidence.
  4. To raise awareness and appreciation for the cultural heritage of the Balkans and its connection to modern fashion design, by showcasing the innovative and creative possibilities of “exploiting culture” in sustainable and ethical ways.
  5. To evaluate the impact of the project on the skills, knowledge, and employability of participating students and graduates, and to disseminate the results and lessons learned to relevant stakeholders in the fashion and education sectors.
